AHCA/NCAL: Focus F-Tag of the Week
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) made updates to the §483.21(b)(3) Comprehensive Care Plans. This includes changes to F656 which adds a new requirement that comprehensive care plans must be culturally competent and trauma-informed. A facility must ensure that each resident’s person-centered comprehensive care plan includes approaches that address the resident’s cultural preferences and reflects trauma-informed care when appropriate.
