DOH Announcement

NYSHFA | NYSCAL participated on a call today with New York State Department of Health (DOH) regarding the expected release of a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) this week. The DAL will outline the DOH’s proposal to repeal the healthcare vaccination mandate currently in place for Article 28, 36, 40 and Article 7 Adult Care Facilities as defined in NYS regulations (10 NYCRR 2.61). This proposed NYS repeal will not include previous sanctions against providers prior to the date of the implementation of the repealed regulation.

DOH emphasized that this is a repeal of the New York State regulations and providers who are subject to CMS and Federal regulations must still comply with the Federal vaccination regulation mandates for healthcare workers and residents.   NYSHFA | NYSCAL will ensure that members receive the Dear Administrator Letter as soon as it is issued.
