New Webinar Program! The Importance of the Health Commerce System in Serving Healthcare Facilities
NYSHFA | NYSCAL is pleased to announce we will host “The importance of the Health Commerce System in Serving Healthcare facilities” Webinar on Tuesday, August 24th at 10 am. As a fundamental part of communications between the NYSDOH and its stakeholders, this presentation will discuss critical tools of the HCS which allows NYSDOH to serve HCFs during normal operations and times of emergency, and the role of our providers in using the system.
The program will be presented by Ms. Debra Sottolano & Ms. Valerie Shuba of the NYS Department of Health.
Debra L. Sottolano, Ph.D., MBA – Lead for Preparedness and Response for the Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management has worked for Health Research Inc on NYSDOH projects for 24 years. Currently Debra is the emergency preparedness and response lead for the NYSDOH Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management (OPCHSM) and serves as a Liaison to the NYSDOH Office of Health Emergency Preparedness (OHEP) to work closely on Federal grant programs to assist acute and long-term healthcare facilities and providers to prepare for and respond to emergency situations.
Valerie Shuba, Learning Management Training Specialist III
Valerie is a Health Commerce System trainer, with focus on the Emergency Preparedness applications. She has been in her current office of Informatics for over twelve years. As a trainer, she develops trainings and instructional guides, and offers technical support.
