ALPs- We Need Your Help!

Last month, some ALP members informed us that Medicaid is no longer covering flu vaccinations for Medicaid-only ALP residents, despite having done so in the past. NYSCAL raised this concern with the Department of Health (DOH), which clarified that ALPs are responsible for covering vaccination costs for their residents. The DOH further stated that any previous Medicaid coverage was an error.

NYSCAL is challenging this stance, as the regulations do not specify that ALPs are required to cover vaccination costs for residents. The DOH has asked us to gather documentation from providers showing that vaccines were previously covered.
