Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses (SPAN) Program

Throughout 2023, NYSHFA-NYSCAL-FQC will be sharing valuable information on accessing available peer assistance as part of addressing the additional stresses staff have endured over the last three years. We would like to introduce Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses (SPAN). The Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses (SPAN) Program is an important resource for New York State nurses affected by various substance use disorders. The SPAN program fosters public safety through outreach and education resources and assistance. Please see the links below for the website, brochures, learning modules, support group list and the Outreach Coordinator’s contact number. The SPAN Outreach Coordinator Ms. Koivula RN BSN will be a guest speaker on our Town Hall meeting on January 19th, 2023.
