DAL DHCBS 24-01: LHCSA Closure Process

On July 2, 2024 the Department of Health posted the attached DAL DHCBS 24-01 Closure Procedures for a Local Health Department’s Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA). The guidance allows LHD LHCSAs to relinquish their licenses if they choose to provide only core public health services in the home that require minimal contact. In addition, the DAL also outlines a referral process to traditional LHCSAs if services extend beyond six visits or require additional non-public health services.
