FY 2023 Enacted Budget Eliminates 1.5% Across-the-Board (ATB) Reduction

The Governor’s 2022/2023 Executive Budget has eliminated the 1.5% ATB reduction, effective 4/1/22. See the DOH notice below for specific details:

Dear MRT Listserv Subscriber,

The FY 2023 Enacted Budget eliminated the 1.5% Across-the-Board (ATB) Reduction, effective for claims of service dated April 1, 2022 and beyond. Claims submitted after March 31, 2022 for dates of service prior to April 1, 2022 would still be subject to the 1.5% ATB Reduction. Further information can be found on the Department of Health’s (DOH) website, located at: https://www.health.ny.gov/health_care/medicaid/redesign/pmt_reductions/atb/1_5_reduction.htm.

All questions should be submitted to the following electronic mailbox at: health.sm.ATB-reduction@health.ny.gov. Please include your provider name and Medicaid number on the email so that questions may be reviewed by program area. Keep in mind that DOH will not be able to respond to individual emails; however, responses to frequently asked questions will be posted to the DOH website. Please access the website regularly for the most updated information.
