SNF 2022 PPS Final Rule

As announced last Friday, CMS has issued the final rule for SNF Prospective Payment System (PPS) for Fiscal Year 2022. Highlights of the rule include:

• A net market basket increase of 1.2% (effective October 1, 2021) which approximates $411 million nationwide.
• A delay in a proposed budget neutrality parity adjustment which would have resulted in a 5% reduction in rates.
• Anticipation of continued suspension of the 2% sequestration adjustment (currently under Congressional discussion).
