NYSHFA participated in a Provider’s Association Call with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) this afternoon and received updated information regarding the MOU sent out earlier this week. The MOU was distributed to a select group of providers who dually enrolled in both the Federal Pharmacy Partnership for LTC Vaccination Program and the New York State COVID-19 Vaccination Program. NYSHFA requested NYSDOH to include a cover letter when they resend the MOU to explain the intent of the purpose and expectation of the MOU Agreement.

On January 4, 2021, Governor Andrew M. Cuomo signed Executive Order 202.88, to require all nursing homes to test personnel for COVID-19 as directed by the Commissioner of Health.

Executive Order (EO) 202.88 requires
both influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations be reported to the NYSIIS within twelve hours of administration of the vaccine.
The EO overrides the previous requirement that adults older than 19 years old must sign a consent for their vaccine information to be placed in the NYSIIS. Read More
