Important Prometric Updates

As a follow up to the Provider Association call held with the NYSDOH Thursday, June 16, 2022, NYSHFA|NYSCAL requested further information on Prometric, the NYS contractor responsible for testing nurse aides. Please see important updates noted below.

Becoming a Testing Site

Facilities that would like to apply to become a Prometric testing site may reach the Site Recruitment Team at: pro-globalrecruiting@prometric.com or complete the online application at:

https://www.prometric.com/become-test-center. The application will ask general information about the facility and available workstations. A Clinical Skills Testing Room Equipment and Supplies Checklist is also attached for your convenience.

Nurse Aide Evaluator (RN) – PT

Prometric is looking for part-time Nurse Aide Evaluators. Interested applicants can apply directly online here: https://us62e2.dayforcehcm.com/CandidatePortal/en-US/prometric/Posting/View/30247.

Scheduling to Test

Reportedly, there are candidates that have submitted applications and are waiting to be scheduled for a test appointment. Per Prometric, there are several factors that would impact the list, although typically they target to schedule within 21 days. If your staff are waiting longer than 21 days, please let us know here at NYSHFA|NYSCAL so we may advise the NYSDOH.
