CMS Updated Infection Control and Standard Survey Tools

Several Focused Infection Control and Standard Survey tools have been updated this month on the CMS Website https://www.cms.gov/Medicare/Provider-Enrollment-and-Certification/GuidanceforLawsAndRegulations/Nursing-Homes. Updates have been made to the Critical Element Pathway for Infection Prevention Control & Immunization as well as the Entrance Conference Worksheet. The worksheet now includes name of facility staff responsible for overseeing the COVID-19 vaccination effort. Facilities must provide to the DOH within four hours of entrance the immunization policy and procedures for COVID-19, Influenza and Pneumococcal and the list of residents and staff and their current COVI -19 vaccination status.
