NDoscopy Dysphagia Specialists
NDoscopy Dysphagia Specialists provide flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) and contract with skilled nursing facilities in the greater NYC area. FEES is a procedure where a small scope is placed into the nares to directly view the pharynx and larynx during swallowing. Our endoscopes have bright, clear LED light technology and a high definition camera allowing our SLPs to clearly view the patient’s swallow mechanism directly while the patient is eating and drinking. We capture and record live colored video to identify the cause of dysphagia. FEES can identify aspiration and potentially reduce rates of pneumonia and rehospitalizations. Our specialists travel directly to the patient and provide services within 1-2 days of consult with timely reports and recommendations for diets and strategies provided next business day.
