OSC HERDS Survey Audits

As previously reported by NYSHFA, the Office of the State Comptroller (“OSC”) is randomly selecting skilled nursing providers throughout the State for a review of information and figures reported in HERDS for the daily Covid-19 surveys. The OSC is selecting four separate dates for providers to submit supporting documentation to their office for the following data fields from the HERDS survey:

• Face shields number,
• Face shield alternate days,
• Total Lab Results Yest,
• Total Positive,
• Total Negative,
• Total Inconclusive,
• Total Unable to Work,
• Covid-19 Newly Diagnosed,
• Covid-19 Employees at Facility,
• Covid-19 Residents Newly Diagnosed,
• Covid-19 Resident Isolation
