Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center

A Visit That Included Great Conversation and Taco Tuesday!
There’s nothing better than getting out and spending time with our members, especially when the visit includes lunch!
Lisa Volk and I recently visited Campbell Hall Rehabilitation Center where we had the opportunity to meet their new Administrator, Avi Wizman, and spend time with owner Gerald “Jerry” Wood.

We sat down with Avi and Jerry and had a great conversation about Campbell Hall and the workhappening throughout the facility. As Avi settles into his new role, we encouraged him to reach out to us anytime with questions and, most importantly, to take advantage of everything available to him and his team that NYSHFA | NYSCAL has to offer. That’s what membership is all about.
One of our favorite parts of the visit was learning about Jerry’s Bistro, appropriately named after Jerry himself. Jerry is a truly hands-on owner who can often be found in the Bistro cooking and serving alongside his team. This isn’t your typical facility dining experience. Staff and residents can order their meals restaurant-style, with food prepared to order. It creates such a fun atmosphere and gives residents more choice in what and how they want to eat.
Lisa and I had the opportunity to experience the Bistro firsthand, joining residents for lunch on Taco Tuesday, which did not disappoint!
Thank you to Avi, Jerry, and the entire Campbell Hall team for welcoming us, feeding us and giving us a chance to learn more about what makes Campbell Hall special. We’re looking forward to staying connected and supporting the Campbell Hall team in the year ahead!
