DOH to Release NHQP/2% Supplemental Payments

NYSHFA has been working with DOH and the Department has received approval from DOB to release the 2020 NHQP and the 2% supplemental payments. In addition, a backlog of capital rate appeals from 2009 through 2021 are being processed. DOH will be updating their website with facility-specific details on the NHQP/2% calculation later this afternoon. Capital rate appeal back-up information will be posted to the HCS.

As detailed in today’s DAL, the NHQP, the 2% supplemental payments and the Capital Appeals will be netted together and processed as a lump-sum payment in upcoming Medicaid cycle #2311 (check release date of 12/22/21). Members should pay close attention to page two of the DAL which outlines the payment/recoupment process for providers who have existing Medicaid liabilities.
