2022 Capital Preview Rates

The 2022 Capital Attestation process has been delayed due to system programming issues that have occurred in transferring the cost report data into the rate setting software. DOH is assuring Providers that the normal Capital Attestation response timeframe will be maintained. Below is the DOH notice with further details:

Dear Administrator,

The Department would like to update you on the 2022 Nursing Home Capital Attestation process.  As you are aware, the process has been delayed. We are currently working through programming issues that have occurred in transferring the cost report data into the rate setting software.  We will be back in touch as soon as the software issues are resolved, and at that point, we will be able to provide a better idea of timing for the 2022 Capital Preview Rates and the associated Attestation and Attachments.

Once the software issues are corrected and we have provided a timeline for release of the Preview rates and attestations, we will be reviewing the rates before they are posted to correct possible issues, thereby reducing the magnitude of attested corrections later on. The attestation process will mirror the previous years’. Notification and forms will go out from the NFrates@health.ny.gov email.  We want to assure you that while this has delayed the Department’s ability to get the attestation process started, this programming challenge will not result in shortened timeframes for providers during the attestation process.
