Medicaid Update Special Edition – Comprehensive Guidance Regarding Use of Telehealth including Telephonic Services

The Medicaid Update Special Edition, issued today, Friday, July 2, 2021, by the New York State (NYS) Department of Health (DOH), featuring “Comprehensive Guidance Regarding Use of Telehealth including Telephonic Services,” is now available on the Medicaid Update web page. This updated guidance informs Medicaid providers of the NYS Medicaid program’s continued coverage of services provided via telehealth for the duration of the federally declared Public Health Emergency, or until subsequent guidance is issued. This updated guidance was effective on June 25, 2021.
