Q: I saw nursing homes are getting a 2% Medicaid increase as of 3/13, is this applicable to ALPs also?

A: No, it is just for nursing homes.

Q: Can self-administering residents pre-set daily medications and carry it on their person?

A: Residents capable of self-administration may pre-set and carry their daily medications with them.  Residents must ensure that the medications are safe and secure at all times, i.e., not accessible to others.

Q: Do ALPs have to participate in the ARPA?

A: No, it is optional.

Q: What does DOH suggest in terms of cameras in resident rooms? Are they allowed?

A: At this time, DOH is strongly advising facilities to only allow cameras in common areas. They also suggest consulting with the facility’s legal team for further questions.
