2025 Virtual Art from the Heart Program

NYSHFA | NYSCAL and the Foundation for Quality Care proudly celebrates the unique talents and artistic expressions of New York’s dynamic long-term care residents for its 21st year! We invite our Members to participate in this special program.

NEW THIS YEAR!  This year’s Art from the Heart program is all about celebrating creativity through connection! We’re excited to produce a beautiful set of special occasion note cards featuring winning resident artwork on the cover. Each card will be blank inside—perfect for adding your own heartfelt message. Whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, thank you, get well, or holiday wish, these cards are ideal for any meaningful moment.

BE RECOGNIZED!  An independent panel of judges will select 10 winning entries. Those chosen will be featured in the set of “Art from the Heart” note cards, which will be distributed to the artists, their families, and NYSHFA | NYSCAL member facilities.

This program not only highlights artistic talent but also gives back by funding educational programs and scholarships that empower New York’s dedicated workforce.

The entry form and a photograph of the artwork may be submitted online at www.nyshfa-nyscal.org/fqc/art-from-the-heart or via email to joconnor@nyshfa.org. Do not send the artwork in the mail.

The deadline for entries is September 15, 2025. 

The “Art from the Heart” greeting cards will be distributed to the artists, their families, and NYSHFA | NYSCAL member facilities. Please join the many facilities which have participated previously.  Have some fun and help us recognize the talented and vibrant artists who reside in your facility.
