DOH Advisory: Planned Power Outage in areas of Western and Central Region

The Department was notified by National Grid of a planned power outage on Saturday, January 6th from 7:30am-4:30pm (approximately) for them to complete some system upgrades in southern Monroe, northern Livingston and northern Ontario counties. Specifically, these will affect the jurisdictions of Avon, Caledonia, Lima, Livonia, Henrietta, Honeoye Falls, Mendon, Rush, Bloomfield and West Bloomfield. Working with Western and Central NY Regional Preparedness Staff, IHANS alerts were sent to all home care and hospice providers in both WRO and CNYRO (given there is sometimes cross over. There will be warming stations open in all 3 counties, the list of which along with additional information is available on the National Grid site here.
