2021 Durante Stafford Nursing Scholarship Award Recipients Announced

The Foundation for Quality Care and NYSHFA/NYSCAL’s Nurse Leadership Advisory Committee are pleased to announce the recipients of the 2021 James D. Durante/Ruth E. Stafford Nursing Scholarship Program.

This Scholarship Fund Program was established to provide financial support to incumbent employees of NYSHFA/NYSCAL member facilities who are also nursing students pursuing careers in long term care.

Two (2) scholarships for $2,000 each will be awarded to Skilled Nursing Category I LPN and RN students; two (2) scholarships for $2,000 each will be awarded to Skilled Nursing Category II Advanced RN students; and one (1) scholarship for $2,000 will be awarded to the Assisted Living student.

Amber Wollaber, ElderWood at Wheatfield, Niagara Falls, Western Region Buffalo

Assisted Living – $2000 Durante/Stafford Scholarship Recipient
Monique Gibbes, Vassar-Warner Home, Poughkeepsie, Hudson Valley Region
