Master Plan for Aging Listening Session-Harlem-Wednesday, December 6, 2023

On behalf of Governor Kathy Hochul, the New York State Master Plan for Aging (MPA) invites you to a Town Hall on December 6, 2023. The Town Hall provides the public a chance to give their input into the MPA, and details the efforts that the state—through philanthropic, academic, private, and local partnerships—is taking to transform and revolutionize our systems of services and supports for older adults and people with disabilities. The goal of the MPA is building coalitions to develop and implement solutions that address issues that all New Yorkers encounter within their lifetimes—and to do so with a sustained focus on improving equity in aging and disability services and supports.

Governor Hochul signed Executive Order 23 in November 2022, calling for the development of a Master Plan for Aging with the goals of improving the lives of today’s older New Yorkers and people with disabilities and building a better system of care and more inclusive communities for tomorrow. We have been building momentum since last November and are inviting the public to join this critical effort.

The Town Hall will take place on December 6, 2023, from 10 AM – 12:00 PM at ARC A. Philip Randolph Senior Center in Harlem. This is an accessible facility located at 108 West 146th Street New York, NY 10039. Registration is required for this event.
