Master Plan for Aging Town Hall- Buffalo, September 8th

Please note that if you are planning on attending this Town Hall, the New York State Department of Health has sent out a note that this event will now start at 10:30.

On behalf of Governor Kathy Hochul, the NYS Department of Health and the NYS Office for the Aging would like to invite you to a New York Master Plan for Aging (MPA) Town Hall on September 8, 2023. The Town Hall provides the public a chance to give their input and details the efforts that the state—through philanthropic, academic, private, and local partnerships—is taking toward becoming the most age- and disability-friendly state in the nation. The goal of the MPA is advancing transformative and cross-cutting strategies to address issues that all New Yorkers encounter within their lifetimes—and to do so with a sustained focus on ensuring equity in aging and disability.

Governor Hochul signed Executive Order 23 in November 2022, calling for the development of a Master Plan for Aging with the goals of improving the lives of today’s older New Yorkers and people with disabilities and building a better system of care and more inclusive communities for tomorrow. We have built momentum since last November and are inviting the public to join this critical effort.
