Department of Labor announces rule expanding submission requirements for injury, illness data

OSHA issued a News Release stating that effective January 1, 2024, the Department of Labor will require not only the submission of OSHA form 300-A summary sheet, but also Form 300 commonly referred to as the site’s OSHA log and 301- Injury/Illness Report for certain establishments.  Some of the data will be published on the OSHA website for public viewing and can be used to aid in making informed decisions.  Attached is an OSHA Fact Sheet on this subject and the new Recordkeeping Final Rule includes Appendix B  to Subpart E of 29 CFR 1904 can be found in the Federal Register and will be published on July 21, 2023 the official publishing date of the Final Rule.
