NYSCAL Heads to Washington

Earlier this week, the NYSCAL team attended the AHCA/NCAL Congressional Briefing and had the opportunity to advocate on your behalf before New York’s Congressional representatives on several issues, including the Expanding Veterans’ Options for Long Term Care Act (S.B.495/H.R. 1815). This bill creates a 3-year pilot program to provide eligible veterans with the option to move into an assisted living community and receive much needed personal care and services. In addition, the assisted living program on Day 1 included a panel with NYSCAL’s own Nora O’Brien of Willow Towers and Gardens highlighting on the importance of working with your local representatives to schedule visits to your facilities.
