Minimum Wage 6.5% ALP Increase Update

Some NYSCAL members have noted a delay in receiving payment for the 6.5% Medicaid ALP increase from last year, which was scheduled to be distributed today (DAL attached). NYSCAL contacted the Department of Health who responded stating that a high volume of retroactive claims from cycle 2428 carried over into cycle 2429, and consequently most of the retroactive claims targeted for processing in cycle 2429 should now be processed in 2430 and, if necessary, 2431, meaning the payment will be coming in the next few cycles. This is an unfortunate combination of a system limitation and the push to load multiple approved rate packages at the close of the state fiscal year.
