News from the President: DOH to Suspend Minimum Wage Recoupments
NYSCAL and DOH discussed the issues surrounding the 2017-2019 Minimum Wage reconciliation impacts yesterday morning. Due to concerns that NYSCAL had regarding discrepancies with the state’s minimum wage calculation, the Department has agreed to NYSCAL’s request to suspend the recoupment from all members effective with Medicaid cycle #2276 (check date 4/5/2021, check release 4/21/2021). DOH indicated this was the earliest they were able to suspend the recoupment as previous cycles have already been processed within the EmedNy system. The three cycles containing recoupments will commence today, 3/31/21 per the ALP DAL issued on March 8th, 2021.
In addition, DOH indicated they will further postpone the 2020 reconciliation at this time and continue to work with NYSCAL on this matter.
