What You Need to Know about Infection Control! Project Firstline NY

As indicated in an earlier member mailing in September, the Foundation for Quality Care (FQC) was awarded a grant funded by the New York State Department of Health (DOH) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC) called Project Firstline NY.   FQC, along with our other partners, will be providing infection control training to both skilled nursing and assisted living facility workers in all disciplines across New York State through training modules that are easily accessible, concise and engaging with the goal to educate all facility workers about infectious disease threats and how to control the spread of the disease through effective infection control practices.

The Administrator of your facility will soon be receiving a Learning Needs Assessment that will assist us in gathering data on how to best provide this training to all of your facility workers.  In order to determine the easiest and most effective way to provide infection control training that will work in your facility, it is important that you distribute the Learning Needs Assessment to all staff in your facility, ensure completion of the assessment by all staff and ensure the return of the assessment through the instructions provided.   Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
