AHCA/NCAL announces Workforce Funding Related Opportunities

AHCA/NCAL wanted to make you aware of two workforce funding related opportunities below.

  • First, this week, the U.S. Department of Labor announced an $80 million funding opportunity through its Nursing Expansion Grant Program to support nursing training programs designed to expand the pipeline of nursing professionals. The deadline to apply for the grant funding is January 6, 2023, and further information – including eligibility criteria – can be found here​.  Finally, here is the link to the article that is going out in the AHCA/NCAL e-newsletters today on this funding.
  • Second, Equus Workforce Solutions (AHCA/NCAL has partnered with Equus to offer long term care apprenticeship programs – more on this partnership can be found here) is an Industry Intermediary for the U.S. Department of Labor charged with launching, promoting and expanding Registered Apprenticeship models in Healthcare and Public Service. Equus is soliciting applications to assist businesses in developing or expanding Registered Apprenticeship. Equus will award incentives to eligible businesses and/or organizations with deliberate plans to create new Registered Apprenticeship Programs or significantly expand existing programs. Multiple awards will be issued. Applications will be accepted until October 24, 2022.
