DOH Extreme Heat Guidance & Health Alert

The Department has issued a health advisory pertaining to necessary precautions facilities should take in the presence of extreme temperatures and high humidity. Facilities are encouraged to review their policies and procedures with staff to ensure that heat-related illnesses and conditions are immediately addressed and tended to, especially in at-risk populations. The health advisory contains useful checklists on identifying such conditions and appropriate steps to take for symptom management,
