ALP State Share Medicaid Lump Sum Payment

Attached you will find the DAL that informs you of a one-time funding increase for Assisted Living Program (ALP) providers as part of the SFY 2024-25 Enacted Budget, which included a $15 million gross increase.

The NYS DOH will be paying the 50% state share portion of this increase in upcoming Medicaid cycle #2458 (check release date 10/16/24). Specifically, each ALP provider will receive a lump sum payment in the amount of $4.22 multiplied by their CY 2022 billed Medicaid days. The remaining Federal Share will be paid upon CMS’ approval of the Department’s SPA.
