SNF State Share Medicaid Lump Sum Payment
As reported in the Thursday, September 26th NYSHFA NEWS! Member e-mail, please find the attached DAL that was issued today by the DOH referencing the $285 million one-time Medicaid increase that was approved in the SFY 2024-25 enacted State Budget. Specifically, each nursing home, specialty unit and adult day healthcare provider will receive a total lump sum payment in the amount of $13.55 multiplied by their CY 2022 billed Medicaid days. The DOH will be paying the 50% state share portion of this increase in upcoming Medicaid cycle #2458 (check release date 10/16/24). The remaining Federal Share will be paid upon CMS’ approval of the Department’s SPA.
