NYSCAL Pushes State Budget Priorities with the Legislature

NYSCAL has been continuing its advocacy on State Budget priorities with lawmakers at the Capitol, issuing this Joint Memo to the Legislature on Monday in coordination with ESAAL and LeadingAge NY.  We have actively met with numerous legislators this week on your behalf on issues ranging from Medicaid rate increases, permanency of the SNALR Voucher Program, and preservation of EQUAL grant funding. The State Budget process is ongoing. Even though we are past the statutory deadline of April 1, it is a critical time for conversations to continue on funding and policy issues that affect assisted living providers.

Rest assured that your voice is well-represented in Albany. However, the work continues with conversations in legislative districts. We encourage you to invite your State legislators into your facilities to have discussions on matters of importance to you and your residents. NYSCAL can facilitate visits for you.
