Q: We’re an EALR – Our RN is also our NP that comes in weekly to see our residents (in-house provider). Does this pose a conflict of interest that I need to be concerned DOH wise?

A: It wouldn’t be considered a conflict of interest. Some communities employ an RN as their Care Director, which is acceptable, although not required. However, they should avoid tasks such as PRIs or other documents that would authorize care, as that could pose a conflict of interest.
